Treats rashes, skin irritation, and other types of skin problems. Treating depression. Venlafaxine is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SSNRIs). Venlafaxine affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause depression.Venlafaxine is used to treat major depressive disorder, anxiety, and panic disorder.Effexor is prescribed for the treatment of depression--that is, a continuing depression that interferes with daily functioning. The symptoms usually include changes in appetite, sleep habits, and mind/body coordination, decreased sex drive, increased fatigue, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, difficulty concentrating, slowed thinking, and suicidal thoughts.Effexor is a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). It works by restoring the balance of certain natural substances in the brain (serotonin and norepinephrine), which helps to improve certain mood problems. Acetazolamide is used to treat glaucoma, a condition in which increased pressure in the eye can lead to gradual loss of vision. Acetazolamide decreases the pressure in the eye. Acetazolamide is also used to reduce the severity and duration of symptoms (upset stomach, headache, shortness of breath, dizziness, drowsiness, and fatigue) of altitude (mountain) sickness. Acetazolamide is used with other medicines to reduce edema (excess water retention) and to help control seizures in certain types of epilepsy.Acetazolamide comes as a tablet and capsule to take by mouth. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take acetazolamide exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. If you are taking the extended-release (long-acting) form of acetazolamide (Diamox Sequels), do not crush or chew the capsules. Ampicillin is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It is a penicillin-type antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (e.g., common cold, flu). Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness. How to use Ampicillin OralTake this medication by mouth usually 4 times a day (every 6 hours), or as directed by your doctor. Take ampicillin on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal) with a full glass of water. Drink plenty of fluids while using this medication unless your doctor tells you otherwise. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Therefore, take this drug at evenly spaced intervals.Continue to take this medication until the full-prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow, which may result in a relapse of the infection.Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Most brands of estradiol transdermal patches are used to treat hot flushes (hot flashes; sudden strong feelings of heat and sweating) and/or vaginal dryness, itching, and burning in women who are experiencing menopause (change of life; the end of monthly menstrual periods). Transdermal estradiol is also used to prevent osteoporosis (a condition in which the bones become thin and weak and break easily) in women who are experiencing or have experienced menopause. Women who need to use transdermal estradiol for more than one of these reasons can benefit most from the medication. Women whose only bothersome symptoms are vaginal dryness, itching, or burning may benefit more from an estrogen product that is applied topically to the vagina. Women who only need a medication to prevent osteoporosis may benefit more from a different medication that does not contain estrogen. Most brands of estradiol transdermal patches are also sometimes used as a source of estrogen in young women who do not produce enough estrogen naturally. Estradiol is in a class of medications called estrogen hormones. It works by replacing estrogen that is normally produced by the body.Menostar« brand patches contain less estrogen than other brands of estradiol transdermal patches. Menostar«patches are used only to prevent osteoporosis in women who are experiencing or have experienced menopause. prescribed by your health care professional. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional. This drug may also be used to treat another kind of malaria, Plasmodium ovale. This product is able to be sourced and supplied at excellent prices because of favourable cross border currency conversions. All products are authentic brand names and will include a product information insert in English.Medical Information:Lidocaine belongs to a group of medicines known as local anaesthetics. It works by temporarily blocking the pathway of pain signals along nerves. Pain is caused by the stimulation of pain receptors at the ends of nerves. The stimulation causes sodium to enter the nerve ending, which causes an electrical signal to build up in the nerve. When this electrical signal is big enough, it passes along the nerve to the brain, where the signal is interpreted as pain. Lidocaine works by stopping the sodium entering the nerve ending at the site of the pain. This prevents an electrical signal building up and passing along the nerve fibres to the brain. In this way lidocaine causes numbness and relieves pain at the area it is applied to. Lidocaine medicated plasters are used to treat pain caused by post herpetic neuralgia. Post herpetic neuralgia may develop if nerves are damaged after a shingles infection (herpes zoster infection). This can be a very painful condition and can sometimes last for a long time. Lidocaine medicated plasters are large patches made with a special gel that allows the active ingredient, lidocaine to seep into the skin. The plasters are worn for 12 hours out of 24 on the painful area of skin. The plasters should be applied to cover the painful area of skin immediately after you have taken them out of the sachet and removed the liner from the gel surface. No more than three plasters should be used at the same time. If needed, the plasters may be cut into smaller sizes with scissors to fit the affected area. If you are cutting the plasters do so before removing the liner. What is it used for? Treatment of nerve pain (neuropathic pain) following shingles (post-herpetic neuralgia) in adults. Cyproterone/Ethinyl estradiol is a contraceptive pill that doubles as a very effective acne treatment.Cyproterone/Ethinyl estradiol provides contraceptive protection as reliable as other pills while it also relieves acne, greasy skin and hairy skin.Essentially, Cyproterone/Ethinyl estradiol works by regulating your hormones: estrogen and progestogen (reproductive hormones) and androgen (which can cause acne, by prompting excess oil production in your skin). With Cyproterone/Ethinyl estradiol you have the unique combined benefit of contraception and anti-acne treatment. This two-in-one solutions package solves two of your concerns at one go.With Cyproterone/Ethinyl estradiol you may also experience regular, lighter and less painful periods. Discover the power of Ginette to make life easier and more enjoyable.Cyproterone/Ethinyl estradiol meanwhile contains two female hormones, estrogen and progestin. These are similar to the natural hormones women produce in their ovaries. The pituitary gland is not able to distinguish the hormones contained in Cyproterone/Ethinyl estradiol from those produced by the ovaries. It, therefore, stops inducing the natural hormone production by the ovaries and eventually the process of egg growth and release. This hormonal feedback mechanism is based on the same principle which blocks the maturation and release of further eggs during pregnancy. Cefaclor is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as pneumonia and infections of the ears, lungs, throat, urinary tract, and skin. Cefaclor is in a class of medications called cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.Cefaclor comes as a capsule, an extended-release (long-acting) tablet, and a suspension (liquid) to take by mouth. The capsule and liquid are usually taken every 8 hours (three times a day) or every 12 hours (twice a day). The long-acting tablet is usually taken every 12 hours (twice a day), within 1 hour of eating a meal. To help you remember to take cefaclor, take it around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take cefaclor exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Shake the liquid well before each use to mix the medication evenly. The capsules and tablets should be swallowed whole and taken with a full glass of water. Swallow the long-acting tablets whole; do not split, chew, or crush them.Take cefaclor until you finish the prescription, even if you feel better. Stopping cefaclor too soon may cause bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics. Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic solution is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye including conjunctivitis (pinkeye; infection of the membrane that covers the outside of the eyeball and the inside of the eyelid) and corneal ulcers (infection and loss of tissue in the clear front part of the eye). Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic ointment is used to treat conjunctivitis. Ciprofloxacin is in a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. It works by killing the bacteria that cause infection.Ophthalmic ciprofloxacin comes as a solution (eye drops) and an ointment to apply to the eyes. Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic solution is usually used often, between once every 15 minutes to once every 4 hours while awake for 7 to 14 days or longer. Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic ointment is usually applied 3 times a day for 2 days and then twice a day for 5 days. To help you remember to use ophthalmic ciprofloxacin, use it at around the same times every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use ophthalmic ciprofloxacin exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor. You should expect your symptoms to improve during your treatment. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not go away or get worse, or if you develop other problems with your eyes during your treatment.Use ophthalmic ciprofloxacin until you finish the prescription, even if you feel better. If you stop using ophthalmic ciprofloxacin too soon, your infection may not be completely cured and the bacteria may become resistant to antibiotics. When you use ophthalmic ciprofloxacin, be careful not to let the tip of the bottle or tube touch your eye, fingers, face, or any surface. If the tip does touch another surface, bacteria may get into the eye ointment or drops. Using eye ointment or drops that are contaminated with bacteria may cause serious damage to the eye or loss of vision. If you think your eye ointment or drops have become contaminated, call your doctor or pharmacist. To use the eye drops or ointment, follow these steps: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Use a mirror or have someone else put the drops or ointment in your eye(s). Remove the protective cap from the bottle or tube. Make sure that the end of the dropper tip is not chipped or cracked. If you are using eye drops, hold the bottle with the tip down at all times to prevent drops from flowing back into the bottle and contaminating the medication inside. Lie down and gaze upward or tilt your head back. Holding the bottle or tube between your thumb and index finger, place the dropper tip or end of the tube as near as possible to your eyelid without touching it. Brace the remaining fingers of that hand against your cheek or nose. With the index finger of your other hand, pull the lower lid of the eye down to form a pocket. If you are using the eye drops, drop the prescribed number of drops into the pocket made by the lower lid and the eye. Placing drops on the surface of the eyeball can cause stinging. Then close your eye and press lightly against the lower lid with your finger for 2-3 minutes to keep the medication in the eye. Do not blink. Use a clean tissue to wipe any excess liquid from your cheek. If you are using the ointment, squeeze a thin ribbon of ointment into the pocket. Blink gently and close your eye for 1-2 minutes. Use a clean tissue to wipe excess ointment from your eyelids or eyelashes. If your doctor told you to use ciprofloxacin eye drops or ointment in both eyes, repeat steps 6-10 above for your other eye. Replace the cap on the tube or bottle and tighten it right away. Wash your hands again. Metformin is used alone or with other medications, including insulin, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood) . Metformin helps to control the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. It decreases the amount of glucose you absorb from your food and the amount of glucose made by your liver. Metformin also increases your body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood. Metformin is not used to treat type 1 diabetes (condition in which the body does not produce insulin and therefore cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood).Metformin comes as a tablet and an extended-release (long-acting) tablet to take by mouth. The regular tablet is usually taken with meals two or three times a day. The extended-release tablet is usually taken once daily with the evening meal. To help you remember to take metformin, take it around the same time(s) every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take metformin exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Swallow metformin extended-release tablets whole; do not split, chew, or crush them.Your doctor may start you on a low dose of metformin and gradually increase your dose not more often than once every 1-2 weeks.
