This product is able to be sourced and supplied at excellent prices because of favourable cross border currency conversions. All products are authentic brand names and will include a product information insert in English.Medical Information:Lidocaine belongs to a group of medicines known as local anaesthetics. It works by temporarily blocking the pathway of pain signals along nerves. Pain is caused by the stimulation of pain receptors at the ends of nerves. The stimulation causes sodium to enter the nerve ending, which causes an electrical signal to build up in the nerve. When this electrical signal is big enough, it passes along the nerve to the brain, where the signal is interpreted as pain. Lidocaine works by stopping the sodium entering the nerve ending at the site of the pain. This prevents an electrical signal building up and passing along the nerve fibres to the brain. In this way lidocaine causes numbness and relieves pain at the area it is applied to. Lidocaine medicated plasters are used to treat pain caused by post herpetic neuralgia. Post herpetic neuralgia may develop if nerves are damaged after a shingles infection (herpes zoster infection). This can be a very painful condition and can sometimes last for a long time. Lidocaine medicated plasters are large patches made with a special gel that allows the active ingredient, lidocaine to seep into the skin. The plasters are worn for 12 hours out of 24 on the painful area of skin. The plasters should be applied to cover the painful area of skin immediately after you have taken them out of the sachet and removed the liner from the gel surface. No more than three plasters should be used at the same time. If needed, the plasters may be cut into smaller sizes with scissors to fit the affected area. If you are cutting the plasters do so before removing the liner. What is it used for? Treatment of nerve pain (neuropathic pain) following shingles (post-herpetic neuralgia) in adults. Niacin (nicotinic acid) is used to prevent and treat niacin deficiency (pellagra). Niacin deficiency may result from certain medical conditions (e.g., alcohol abuse, malabsorption syndrome, Hartnup disease), poor diet, or long-term use of certain medications (e.g., isoniazid).Niacin deficiency can cause diarrhea, confusion (dementia), tongue redness/swelling, and peeling red skin. Niacin is also known as vitamin B3 , one of the B-complex vitamins. Vitamins help to support the body's ability to make and break down natural compounds (metabolism) needed for good health. Niacinamide (nicotinamide) is a different form of vitamin B3 and does not work the same as niacin. Do not substitute unless directed by your doctor.OTHER USES: This section contains uses of this drug that are not listed in the approved professional labeling for the drug, but may be prescribed by your health care professional. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional.Niacin may also be used to improve cholesterol and lower fat levels (triglycerides) in the blood under the care of your doctor. It is generally used after non-drug treatments have not been fully successful at lowering cholesterol (e.g., diet change, increase in exercise, weight loss if overweight). Doses for treating these blood fat problems are usually much higher than for dietary problems. How to use Nicotinic Acid OralSee also Drug Interactions section.Take this medication by mouth with food, usually once or twice a day or as directed by your doctor. Taking niacin on an empty stomach increases side effects (e.g., flushing, upset stomach). Follow all directions on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Niacin is available in different formulations (e.g., immediate, sustained release). If your doctor has prescribed niacin, do not switch strengths, brands, or forms because doing so may increase the risk of severe liver problems.Sustained-release capsules and tablets must be swallowed whole. Check with your pharmacist whether you may break the tablet on the score line. Do not crush or chew extended-release tablets or capsules. Doing so can destroy the long action of the drug and may increase side effects. To prevent flushing, do not take this medication with alcohol or hot drinks. Taking a plain (non-enteric-coated, 325-milligram) aspirin or a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (e.g., ibuprofen) 30 minutes before taking niacin may help prevent flushing. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for specific directions on aspirin/NSAID use before starting your niacin treatment to make sure it is right for you, especially if you are also using "blood thinners" (anticoagulants such as warfarin or heparins). If you also take certain other drugs to lower blood fats (bile acid-binding resins such as cholestyramine or colestipol), take niacin at least 6 hours before or after taking these medications. These products interact with niacin, preventing its full absorption. Continue to take other medications to lower your cholesterol as directed by your doctor.Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. Follow the directions on the label or your doctor's instructions carefully. If you are taking this for lipid problems, your doctor will start you at a low dose and gradually increase your dose in order to minimize side effects. Your dose will need to be increased slowly even if you are already taking niacin and are being switched from another niacin product to this product. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day.If this medication has been prescribed by your doctor, do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to do so. If your doctor tells you to stop taking niacin, do not start taking it again until your doctor has given you instructions on how to restart it. Your dose may need to be gradually increased to the dose you were on.It is very important to continue to follow your doctor's advice about diet and exercise. If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.Nicotinic Acid Oral is used to treat the following:Deficiency of the Vitamin Niacin, Pellagra, High Amount of Fats in the Blood, High Cholesterol, Heterozygous High Cholesterol, High Amount of Triglyceride in the Blood, Combined High Blood Cholesterol and Triglyceride Level, Low HDL Cholesterol, Myocardial Reinfarction Prevention, Slow Progression of Disease of the Arteries of the HeartNicotinic Acid Oral may also be used to treat: Increased Triglycerides and Cholesterol
Flixotide puffers contain a medicine called fluticasone propionate. This medicine belongs to a group of medicines known as corticosteroids, frequently called 'steroids'. They are not 'anabolic steroids' which are the steroids sometimes misused by athletes.Your Flixotide puffer provides a measured amount of steroid for you to breathe into your lungs. By using your Flixotide puffer regularly every day, the medicine reduces the swelling and irritation in the walls of the small air passages in your lungs. Your Flixotide puffer contains the type of asthma medicine known as a 'preventer'. It does not give immediate relief from an asthma attack and may take up to a week to start to work. If your shortness of breath or wheeze does not get better after 7 days, tell your doctor. When used every day, your Flixotide puffer helps to ease breathing problems and prevent asthma attacks. This medicine is only one part of a general plan to help you manage your asthma. You should discuss this plan with your doctor. You may also be using a 'reliever puffer'. Keep using it according to your doctor's advice. Ask your doctor to check your treatment regularly.Ask your doctor if you have any questions about why a Flixotide puffer has been prescribed for you.The medicine in Flixotide puffers is not addictive.Flixotide puffers generally do not cause any problems with your ability to drive a car or operate machinery. Alendronate is used to treat and prevent osteoporosis (a condition in which the bones become thin and weak and break easily) in women who have undergone menopause ('change of life,' end of menstrual periods) and to treat osteoporosis in men. Alendronate is also used to treat osteoporosis in men and women who are taking corticosteroids (a type of medication that may cause osteoporosis in some patients). Alendronate is also used to treat Paget's disease of bone (a condition in which the bones are soft and weak and may be deformed, painful, or easily broken). Alendronate is in a class of medications called bisphosphonates. It works by preventing bone breakdown and increasing bone density (thickness).Alendronate comes as a tablet and a solution (liquid) to take by mouth. The solution is usually taken on an empty stomach once a week in the morning. The 5-mg and 10-mg tablets are usually taken on an empty stomach once a day in the morning, and the 35-mg and 70-mg tablets are usually taken on an empty stomach once a week in the morning. The 40-mg tablets are usually taken once a day in the morning for six months to treat Paget's disease of bone. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take alendronate exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Alendronate may not work properly and may damage the esophagus (tube between the mouth and stomach) or cause sores in the mouth if it is not taken according to the following instructions. Tell your doctor if you do not understand, you do not think you will remember, or you are unable to follow these instructions: You must take alendronate just after you get out of bed in the morning, before you eat or drink anything. Never take alendronate at bedtime or before you wake up and get out of bed for the day. Swallow alendronate tablets with a full glass (6-8 ounces or 180-240 mL) of plain water. Drink at least a quarter of a cup (2 ounces or 60 mL) of plain water after you take alendronate solution. Never take alendronate tablets or solution with tea, coffee, juice, milk, mineral water, sparkling water, or any liquid other than plain water. Swallow the tablets whole; do not split, chew or crush them. Do not suck on the tablets. After you take alendronate, do not eat, drink, or take any other medications (including vitamins or antacids) for at least 30 minutes. Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after you take alendronate. Sit upright or stand upright until at least 30 minutes have passed and you have eaten your first food of the day. Alendronate controls osteoporosis and Paget's disease of bone but does not cure these conditions. It may take 3 months or longer before your bone density begins to increase. Alendronate helps to treat and prevent osteoporosis only as long as it is taken regularly. Continue to take alendronate even if you feel well. Do not stop taking alendronate without talking to your doctor. Clindamycin, an antibiotic, is used to treat infections of the respiratory tract, skin, pelvis, vagina, and abdomen. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.Clindamycin comes as a capsule and liquid to take by mouth; topical solution, lotion, and gel for skin infections; and vaginal cream. Clindamycin usually is taken every 6 hours for respiratory, pelvis, or abdomen infections or applied twice a day for acne. Shake the oral liquid well before each use to mix the medication evenly. Drink a full glass of water after each dose (capsules and oral liquid). For acne, it may take up to 12 weeks for the full effect of the drug to be seen. Shake the topical lotion well before each use. Apply this liquid, the solution, or the gel in a thin film after washing and drying the skin thoroughly. Avoid getting the medication in your eyes and mouth or on broken skin; if you do, use plenty of water to wash the drug away.Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take clindamycin exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. For vaginal infections, clindamycin is used once a day, at bedtime, for 7 days. Clindamycin cream for the vagina comes with a special applicator. The dose should be applied when you lie down to go to bed. The medicine works best if you do not get up again after applying the drug except to wash your hands and the applicator. Read the directions provided with it and follow these steps: Fill the special applicator that comes with the cream to the level indicated. Lie on your back with your knees drawn upward and spread apart. Gently insert the applicator into your vagina and push the plunger to release the medication. Withdraw the applicator and wash it with soap and warm water. Wash your hands promptly to avoid spreading the infection. You may wish to wear a sanitary napkin while using the vaginal cream to protect your clothing against stains. Do not use a tampon because it will absorb the drug. Do not douche unless your doctor tells you to do so. Continue using clindamycin vaginal cream even if you get your period during treatment. Medical Information:Zofran is used for: Preventing nausea and vomiting due to cancer chemotherapy or surgery.Ondansetron blocks the actions of chemicals in the body that can trigger nausea and vomiting. Ondansetron is used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused by surgery or by medicine to treat cancer (chemotherapy or radiation).
Cimetidine is used to treat ulcers of the stomach and intestines and prevent them from coming back after they have healed. This medication is also used to treat certain stomach and throat (esophagus) problems caused by too much stomach acid (e.g., Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, erosive esophagitis) or a backward flow of stomach acid into the esophagus (acid reflux disease/GERD). Decreasing extra stomach acid can help relieve symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, difficulty swallowing, persistent cough, and trouble sleeping. It can also prevent serious acid damage to your digestive system (e.g., ulcers, cancer of the esophagus).Cimetidine belongs to a class of drugs commonly called H2 blockers. It works by reducing the amount of acid in your stomach. This medication is also available without a prescription. It is used to treat occasional heartburn caused by too much acid in the stomach (also called acid indigestion or sour stomach). It is also used to prevent heartburn and acid indigestion caused by certain foods and beverages. If you are taking this medication for self-treatment, it is important to read the manufacturer's package instructions carefully so you know when to consult your doctor or pharmacist. (See also Precautions.)How to use Cimetidine OralTake this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor. The dosage and length of treatment are based on your medical condition and response to therapy. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully. If you are also taking antacids to relieve stomach pain as recommended by your doctor, separate them from this medication by at least 1 hour.Take this medication regularly as prescribed in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time(s) each day. Do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. Continue to take this medication for the prescribed length of treatment even if you are feeling better. Stopping treatment too early may delay the healing process. If you are using nonprescription cimetidine for self-treatment of acid indigestion or heartburn, take 1 tablet by mouth with a glass of water as needed. To prevent heartburn, take 1 tablet by mouth with a glass of water right before or up to 30 minutes before eating food or drinking beverages that cause heartburn. Do not take more than 2 tablets in 24 hours unless directed by your doctor. Do not take for more than 14 days in a row without talking with your doctor.Inform your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen. It is used to treat duodenal ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This is a condition in which the acid in the stomach washes back up into the esophagus. It also reduces the chance of gastric ulcers in patients who use a group of medicines called NSAIDs and who may be at greater risk (i.e., patients 60 years of age or older or patients who have a history of gastric ulcers). Sometimes esomeprazole is used along with antibiotics to treat ulcers associated with infection caused by the H. pylori bacteria (germ).Esomeprazole works by decreasing the amount of acid produced by the stomach.Nexium relieves heartburn and other symptoms caused by the backflow of stomach acid into the canal to the stomach (the esophagus)--a condition known as gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is also prescribed to heal the damage (erosive esophagitis) that reflux disease can cause.Prescribed in combination with the antibiotics Biaxin and Amoxil, Nexium is also used to treat the infection that causes most duodenal ulcers (ulcers occurring just beyond the exit from the stomach).Like its sister drug Prilosec, Nexium works by reducing the production of stomach acid.Esomeprazole decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach.Esomeprazole is used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Esomeprazole is also used to promote healing of erosive esophagitis (damage to your esophagus caused by stomach acid), Esomeprazole may also be given to prevent gastric ulcer caused by infection with helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), or by the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Amitriptyline affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced. Amitriptyline is used to treat symptoms of depression. Laroxyl is prescribed for the relief of symptoms of mental depression. It is a member of the group of drugs called tricyclic antidepressants. Some doctors also prescribe Laroxyl to treat bulimia (an eating disorder), to control chronic pain, to prevent migraine headaches, and to treat a pathological weeping and laughing syndrome associated with multiple sclerosis. How tricyclic antidepressants improve depression symptoms is not fully understood. They are thought to increase the activity of certain chemicals in the brain (norepinephrine, serotonin), which help improve mood. Your doctor has prescribed the drug bleomycin to help treat your illness. The drug is given by injection into a large muscle, a vein, or just under the skin. The drug also can be placed, through a chest tube, into the space surrounding the lungs. Occasionally, small test doses are given to check your reaction before the remainder of the drug is administered. This medication is used to treat: lymphomas squamous cell carcinomas testicular carcinomas malignant pleural effusions This medication is sometimes prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.Bleomycin is an antibiotic that is used only for its cancer-fighting effects; it slows or stops the growth of cancer cells in your body. The length of treatment depends on the types of drugs you are taking, how well your body responds to them, and the type of cancer you have. Cosopt lowers high pressure in the eye, a problem typically caused by the condition known as open-angle glaucoma. Cosopt works by reducing production of the liquid that fills the eyeball. Dorzolamide ophthalmic reduces the amount of fluid in the eye, which decreases pressure inside the eye. Timolol ophthalmic is a beta-blocker that also reduces pressure inside the eye.The combination of dorzolamide and timolol ophthalmic is used to treat certain types of glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye. Ophthalmic brimonidine is used to lower pressure in the eyes in patients who have glaucoma (high pressure in the eyes that may damage nerves and cause vision loss) and ocular hypertension (pressure in the eyes that is higher than normal but not high enough to cause vision loss). Brimonidine is in a class of drugs called alpha adrenergic agonists. Brimonidine works by decreasing the amount of fluid in the eyes.Brimonidine ophthalmic comes as a solution (liquid) to instill in the eyes. It is usually instilled in the affected eye(s) three times a day. Use brimonidine eye drops at around the same times every day, and try to space your three daily doses about 8 hours apart. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use brimonidine eye drops exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of them or use them more often than prescribed by your doctor.Brimonidine eye drops may control your condition, but will not cure it. Continue to use brimonidine eye drops even if you feel well. Do not stop using brimonidine eye drops without talking to your doctor. To use the eye drops, follow these steps: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Use a mirror or have someone else put the drops in your eye. Remove the protective cap. Make sure that the end of the dropper is not chipped or cracked. Avoid touching the dropper tip against your eye or anything else. Hold the dropper tip down at all times to prevent drops from flowing back into the bottle and contaminating the remaining contents. Lie down or tilt your head back. Holding the bottle between your thumb and index finger, place the dropper tip as near as possible to your eyelid without touching it. Brace the remaining fingers of that hand against your cheek or nose. With the index finger of your other hand, pull the lower lid of the eye down to form a pocket. Drop the prescribed number of drops into the pocket made by the lower lid and the eye. Placing drops on the surface of the eyeball can cause stinging. Close your eye and keep it closed for a few minutes. Do not blink. Replace and tighten the cap right away. Do not wipe or rinse it off. Wipe off any excess liquid from your cheek with a clean tissue. Wash your hands again. This product is able to be sourced and supplied at excellent prices because of favourable cross border currency conversions. All products are authentic brand names and will include a product information insert in English.Medical Information:Diltiazem capsules contain the active ingredient diltiazem, which is a type of medicine called a calcium channel blocker. This type of medicine acts on the heart and blood vessels. Diltiazem works by slowing down the movement of calcium through muscle cells that are found in the heart and the walls of blood vessels. It does this by blocking 'calcium channels' on these muscle cells. Calcium is needed by the muscle cells in order for them to contract. By depriving them of calcium, diltiazem causes the muscle cells to relax. This action of diltiazem has two main effects; it slows down the rate at which the heart beats and it allows the blood vessels in the body to widen. When the heart beats more slowly, the pressure at which the blood is pumped out of the heart is reduced. When the blood vessels in the body relax and widen, this decreases the resistance that the heart has to push against in order to pump the blood around the body. Both these actions reduce the pressure within the blood vessels. This means diltiazem can be used to lower high blood pressure. Slowing the heart rate also reduces the energy used by the heart to pump blood around the body. This in turn reduces the heart's need for oxygen. At the same time, widening the blood vessels improves the blood and therefore oxygen supply to the heart. Both these features mean that diltiazem can be used in the management of angina. The chest pain of angina is caused by insufficient oxygen supply to the heart. As diltiazem improves this oxygen supply, and also reduces the effort the heart has to make to pump blood, it can be used to prevent angina attacks. Diltiazem capsules are a long-acting or 'modified-release' form of diltiazem. This means that they are designed to release the diltiazem slowly and continuously over several hours to produce a steady blood level of the medicine throughout the day. Diltiazem capsules are designed to be taken once a day, at the same time each day. They should be swallowed whole and not chewed or crushed, as this would damage the modified-release action. What is it used for? Angina pectoris.Mild to moderate high blood pressure (hypertension). Dipivefrin is used to treat glaucoma, a condition in which increased pressure in the eye can lead to gradual loss of vision. Dipivefrin decreases the pressure in the eye.Dipivefrin comes as eyedrops. Dipivefrin usually is applied every 12 hours. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use dipivefrin exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Dipivefrin controls glaucoma but does not cure it. Continue to use dipivefrin even if you feel well. Do not stop using dipivefrin without talking to your doctor. To use the eyedrops, follow these instructions: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Close your eye and press lightly against the lower lid with your finger for 2-3 minutes to keep the medication in the eye. Do not blink. Replace and tighten the cap right away. Do not wipe or rinse it off. Wipe off any excess liquid from your cheek with a clean tissue. Wash your hands again.
Doxycycline is used to treat bacterial infections, including pneumonia and other respiratory tract infections; Lyme disease; acne; infections of skin, genital, and urinary systems; and anthrax (after inhalational exposure). It is also used to prevent malaria. Doxycycline is in a class of medications called tetracycline antibiotics. It works by preventing the growth and spread of bacteria. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.Doxycycline comes as a regular and a coated capsule, a tablet, a syrup, and a suspension (liquid), all to take by mouth. Doxycycline is usually taken once or twice a day. Drink a full glass of water with each dose of the capsule or tablet. If your stomach becomes upset when you take doxycycline, you may take it with food or milk.
